Member Comments: The person doing the quote (Kevin) arrived right on time. Unfortunately he didn’t seem very engaged or forthcoming with information and didn’t talk very much at all. It was at the end of the day so maybe he was just tired? He measured the length of the gutters that would have to be replaced and asked if I wanted 5? or 6? gutters. I asked him what the benefits of each was, and he replied, “Six of one, half dozen of the other.” After that he gave me his card and said he would email me a quote that night or the next day. He didn’t bring any pamphlets or materials and didn’t discuss any options at all. Two days later I received the quote. The quote was pretty basic and didn’t specify if the gutters would be plastic or aluminum. The price was okay, but other companies I had quotes from included replacing the downspouts too for almost the same price (the quote from St. Josephs was for replacing only the gutters, not the downspouts. In the end, I just wasn’t impressed with the quote or the company overall and decided to go with another company. The other companies just seemed more professional and seemed to care more about the job. They also provided more information and really explained all the available options in detail.

Unlike some gutter companies we don’t install specialty gutters, and so we cannot provide literature to support our gutter estimates. We are a roof installation company and our main focus is on performing roof installation and repairs, rather than repair estimates. We believe that Kevin’s strength is in his workmanship, and his customers are almost always satisfied when they hire him.
